CrossFit leads to bulky and overly muscular bodies

While weightlifting is a fundamental component of CrossFit, it is not the sole focus. CrossFit incorporates a wide range of functional movements, including bodyweight exercises, cardiovascular conditioning, gymnastics, and more. The emphasis is on overall fitness and performance, not just lifting heavy weights.

About Us

Owner/Head Coach: David Doughty

I started CrossFit in April 2016 and fell in love with it.  The coaching, the community, the soul-sucking workouts. It all created such a positive impact on my life. I served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve 1996-2002 and retired at the rank of Captain from the Altus Police Department in April 2023. I figured out that I could effectively serve my community better through coaching CrossFit and nutrition counseling. I earned my Bachelors degree in Kinesiology in May 2022.  I have my CrossFit Level 1 and my Precision Nutrition Level 1.

The Gym

Newly renovated in the old Feller RV building north of Altus, this 2500 square foot facility has all you need to become your best you.

Conveniently located just 3 minutes from Altus, it is a great location to serve all of southwest Oklahoma, especially Altus, Altus Air Force Base, Blair, Martha, Mangum, Granite, and Lone Wolf.

With a nod to the newest addition to our beloved Air Force Base, CrossFit Pegasus shares its name with the KC-46A Pegasus tanker. Sorry, KC-135 or C-17, CrossFit Stratotanker or CrossFit Globemaster just didn't roll off the tongue as well.
